I have an Acer have an effort a single netbook . It has a built in webcam though will not take video . What safe software can i download or go buy which will concede me to have videos with my webcam ? When i make use of a webcam choice there is not a video symbol … only a picture

I downloaded the new 2010 version of windows live messenger and I didn’t like it- partly because it didn’t have a webcam option anymore. It took some time but I eventually re-downloaded the 2009 version but it still did not allow webcam and only video calls. Does anyone know how I can get the webcam option back ?

I have a Sony VAIO with a built in web cam and i have no idea how it works. Can i record videos or take pictures with it? also how can i talk to my friends who also have web cams?

I am having issues trying to make my camera take to do the viedo call. My microphone is on my webcam. The odd thing is when I set up for audio it recognizes my camera, but when it comes to the video it does not. It show some “Angel (something) II” and it is not showing my camera when I try to redetect a camera.

What program do I open to make it work? I got this HP for Christmas from my parents and I can see a webcam and it even says webcam, but I don’t know how to make it work?
There is no disk, the webcam is built into the laptop.

I have a Dell laptop and i didnt get a webcam installed when i was “building” my laptop online. I was wondering if i could send it in or take it to a shop to get an integrated webcam installed. Thank you.

I have a Toshiba WindowsVista Laptop, brand new. I can’t find where the webcam is on here, it was at the top of my screen when I put my mouse there. But now it’s not, and I can’t find it in my files. Where is it ?

I have yahoo messenger version 8.1. I just bought a laptop and it has windows vista on it. I know a lot of software isnt working very well with vista. I need a good reasonably priced webcam. I dont want to go out and buy something that isnt compatible.

I have an HP Pavilion dv1000 Entertainment Notebook PC, and I just recently re-formatted the hard-drive, and now the computer is not recognizing the internal webcam. I went to the HP Support website in order to download all of the drivers, but none of them seem to work to recognize the webcam. Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi, I have recently had issues when watching videos online or talking with my webcam on Skype. With little warning, my PC will just completely shut down – the screen goes black and it turns off. One time it showed a little icon of a mini monitor in the middle I think. It must be linked to the video software or something because that’s the only time it does that. I honestly don’t know a lot about computers but thought maybe I could find an answer to my question. Thanks, Jim
