I bought a Creative LIVE! CAM Socialize HD webcam. Every time I use my webcam on an instant messenger or online in anyway I get blue screened or the internet goes out(Wireless). I have two different wireless adapters, and switched to my second one because I thought maybe that the two didn’t like each other. Now instead of blue screening I get booted offline upon using the webcam. Here’s my system specs Operating System: Windows XP Professional Service Pack 3 System Manufacturer: NVIDIA System Model: AWRDACPI BIOS: Award Modular BIOS v6.00PG Processor: AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 3800+, MMX, 3DNow (2 CPUs), ~2.0GHz Memory: 2048MB RAM DirectX Version: DirectX 9.0c Wireless Adapters Used: Netgear WG111T – mostly get blue screened and on occasions just booted offline. Belkin – Wireless G PLUS MIMO Ver. 3000 -so far only booted offline when webcam starts.?

There are tons of reasons why we look for laptop with webcam, and some other perhaps for our works but usually it is only for our own fulfillment.

The very first reason of course is the practical one – to picture / pictures of ourselves take you save it and then upload it to Facebook and other social networking sites.

I have a new HP laptop with a built in webcam. I have read several tutorials about using quickplay to take pictures and videos using the webcam. I don’t think i have the program on my computer. What should I use to take video and pictures?

I have recently installed Windows 7 on my Dell laptop by removing Windows Vista completely. I want Software for Dell Webcam I search it on net but I am not able to find it. I want such kind of software which allows me record/catch photos with the webcam. All possible replies and comments are appreciated.

As I Play around with BT4 I find that I would like to use it exclusively and remove windows7 from my laptop, but I am currently taking online classes at the local university and need to have a web-cam so my question is, how do I use my laptops built in web-cam with BackTrack? I have done some searches on the forums as well as on the Ubuntu site, but I am just starting out and it is likely that I found my answer but didn’t recognize it for what it was, can someone tell me how I get my built in webcam web-cam to work with BT4 or point me in the right direction?

* My laptop is a Dell Inspiron 1750 ( if that helps) if you need more information, please let me know.

I have a toshiba satellite A305D-S6848 and about 7 months ago when i try to start the webcam it wont start and a message shows up saying “webcam driver open fail. please restart camera or computer” This is the second time its happened. the first time it happened i did what it said and it worked. then a couple months later it started again. Ive tried everything but nothing works. i don’t know what else to do?

 My webcam isnt working on MSN messager plus but is working on other progammes, I went into tools- audio and video , It states that my webcam is working. However when i click on the webcam icon on a conversation the words ” start your webcam ” is not highlight and im not able to click on it.. How could i make it work?.

Can you like connect another camera / webcam to the device through the bluetooth or the camera extension? since the camera connection kit has a usb…

I finally got a webcam its my aunts and I’m trying to use it but its not working!
So first I put in the CD that came with the little camera. Then it uploaded the software and told me to put in the webcam’s usb cord.
I did that and I successfully uploaded the camera and what not. So here’s the problem….
I use MSN and when I tried to call one of my friends I could only hear and see him.
The screen for me was green. I went to take see if it would take a picture of me on Windows Live and it wasnt connected.
I went to COMPUTER and the webcam wasnt even on there.
Can anyone help me what I have to do to get it to work?!
I just uninstalled the software so can someone tell me step-by-step, how to do it or just tell me what I did wrong?
